    (Information Retrieval & Natural Language Processing)
    Thesis: Creating multi-document background summaries for breaking news
    (Awarded an "A" and showed by the department to the students as an example of a good MSc thesis in this area.)
    In the end of my master's academic pursuit, I created a news background summarization system that works as a web server. With an input query, the system retrieves the relevant news documents from a 330,000-file collection and makes a summarization of the news background related to the query based on the retrieved documents.

  • As the leader of a 4-member Web development team, I launched the website, www.21stcentury.com.cn, now a popular e-learning portal in China.

  • Set up the readers' online community and newsletter service with 100,000 registered users.
  • Founded the website, www.21se.com.cn, for 21st Century School Edition and worked as the Vice-Director of the editorial office.
